Payday schedules Weekly and other income patterns
Set each income source's payday pattern. This helps estimate how many paydays remain before a credit card payment target. Income is still entered manually when deposited.
For twice-monthly schedules, the first payday is the day of the reference date; enter the second day of the month. Dates beyond month-end use the last day of that month. Payment estimates count eligible scheduled paydays across income sources, not actual deposits.
Bill payment history
Recorded bill payments
Payments recorded since dated tracking was introduced. Earlier cleared amounts remain in your balance but do not have assigned payment dates. Savings transfers are tracked separately above; investment contributions are not yet included.
Add a card with or without an active statement. Eligible paydays are calculated from your household pay schedules, with a 3-day payment buffer.
Leave balance and due date empty if you are waiting for a statement. Payments can still be budgeted.

Your combined payoff progress across all debts in your plan. Only add credit cards you are actively paying off. Balances here never change checking.
Individual required payments only. Extra payments are not included.
Combined Debt Totals
Totals combine all debts in your plan. Balance corrections are separate from confirmed principal payments; positive corrections increase debt and negative corrections reduce it.

Import from Budget
Copy selected cleared bill payments into Spending Goals. This does not change Budget, checking, or payment status.
Import transactions
Import a CSV from a checking account, debit card, or credit card. Nothing is saved until you review and confirm.
Supports common Date, Description/Merchant, Amount or Debit/Credit columns. Negative debits and positive credit-card purchases are recognized; verify signs during review. PDF import is not yet supported.
Transaction History
Spending Trends · 3-Month Comparison
Based on purchases recorded or imported in Spending Goals. Months with no records may be incomplete. This does not affect Budget or checking.
Check My Bank Balance
Compare your planner with the posted balance in your bank account. Do not include pending transactions.
How to check your balance
Use the same process you already follow when checking your bank transactions.
Review your bank transactions and ignore anything pending.
Update income and Cleared amounts in Budget until the totals are accurate. Reserved and Planned do not change checking.
Enter your posted bank balance. When the difference is $0.00, mark it reconciled.
Checking Account Balance
Your balance and existing reserved funds continue from month to month. You do not need to restart your budget.
Initial setup: edit opening balance
Checking Account Setup
Changing the opening balance recalculates the planner's checking estimate. It does not create income.
Payment Preferences
Used to calculate eligible paydays and suggested payments.
Cloud Sync · Automatic (v21.18)
Budget changes sync automatically when online. If devices have conflicting edits, syncing pauses to protect your data. Keep your JSON backup.
Checking cloud status after sign-in…
Automatic sync starts only after verifying your local budget matches the cloud or a previously synchronized copy. If a conflict is detected, use your backup and review both copies before replacing anything.
Backup & Restore
Your budget is stored locally and, when synchronized, in your private cloud account. Keep an independent JSON backup.
Restoring replaces current data after confirmation. Keep backups somewhere private.
Fresh Start · Calculation Testing
Clear financial test entries while keeping your budget categories, spending categories, household pay schedules, account nickname, and payment preferences.
Clears: bills and payments, income, active and archived credit cards, purchases, spending targets, merchant rules, reconciliation, and the opening checking balance. This cannot be undone without a backup.
